Role Description
The Assistant Photographer role at Selkirk Auctioneers & Appraisers is a full-time, on-site position located in Greater St. Louis. The Assistant Photographer will work closely with the Lead Photographer within a studio environment to capture high-quality images of a wide range of auction objects including fine art, antiques, jewelry, furniture, decorative items, and rugs. This role is responsible for editing their own photos to ensure accurate representation, organizing and archiving photos, and assisting with setup and breakdown of staged inventory and photography equipment. The Photography department also produces all social media content collaborating to develop ideas and meet deadlines. Additional ad hoc requests as needed for online content creation and advertising materials. This is a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. Maintaining brand consistency and quality of work product is key. Attention to detail, creativity, and flexibility are essential in this role.
